Mark Ridings AKA (Checkmate photography) is a Mancunian Landscape, Automotive & Street Photographer from the uk. Mark is inspired by the love of the outdoors and anything automotive related. My images are all about telling a story and expressing my creative side.

In the time I have been a photographer, I've been able to achieve so much at a personal level. I've always had a passion for creative art and have a great understanding of composition...I take great joy in learning as I go along on my endeavours and get great satisfaction in doing so. Photography is more than just a hobby, it has also helped me to overcome many hurdles in my life such as anxiety and helped boost my confidence.

I mostly photograph landscapes and Cars, but like to try different genres. I use various Techniques to achieve my style. From long exposures to using filters and professional editing software, I get great satisfaction when it comes to photo editing and seeing my work come to life in the final edit!
